No trains are showing
The metro runs from 6:30 am to 1:00 am, and there are no forecasts outside those hours. During strikes or closures the app shows a notice at the top of the home screen. If it’s during the day and nothing shows, the Metro’s data service may be down; the app tells you how old the last data is.
What “Towards” means
Each direction is named after the last station of the line: “Towards Odivelas” is the train heading to the end of the line at Odivelas. The app also shows the next stop, so you can check you’re on the right platform.
From the airport
The airport has its own station (Aeroporto), at the end of the Red line. At the airport, tap From the airport in the app, or search for your hotel or address: the app shows the nearest station and the whole way there, including changes and the walk at the end.
Tickets
Tickets and fares in the app explains the rechargeable card, where to buy it and what a trip costs. Always tap your card on the way in and on the way out.
How the leave-now alert works
Tap a station on the map (or search for it) and choose Directions. From your location, or from an address you type, the app works out the best routes. Open the one you want and tap Tell me when to leave: you get a notification at the moment you should leave to reach the platform just in time, even with the app closed.
To get the alert every day, open Leave-now alert on the home screen and turn on Alert automatically, with the days and times.
If notifications don’t arrive, make sure they’re on: on iPhone, Settings › Sai Agora › Notifications; on Android, Settings › Apps › Sai Agora › Notifications.
The walking time looks wrong
It’s based on the real walking route to the nearest entrance, plus the time down to the platform. Adjust your pace in Settings › Your walking pace, or, in Directions, pick the street you leave from.
Language
The app follows your phone’s language (12 languages) and you can change it in the app’s Settings.
Deleting your data
There are no accounts. To delete everything at once, open Settings in the app and tap Start over: your alerts are deleted from the server and everything stored on the phone is erased. Turning off an alert also deletes it from the server, and deleting the app does the same the next time an alert tries to reach you.
Problem reports are deleted automatically after 7 days. To ask us to delete something sooner, write to riyea.studio@gmail.com. More in the privacy policy.
